Vila Lumbung Hotel is a small exotic village surrounded by masterly designed tropical gardens of approximately 12.000 square meters. The special shape of the grass-roof villas is derived from the typical Balinese "Lumbung". The upper part of this center hut of each family compound serves as a rice barn, while the lower floor - an elevated lounging area "Bale" - is used as a meeting place.

We transformed this concept into a unique design of our guest rooms. While the dome shaped grass rooftop of the upper floors conveys a spacious and tropical feeling, the ground floor's Bale is made into a cozy retreat next to the garden. The lobby, restaurant and shopping area are designed to follow the "Lumbung"-concept.

Vila Lumbung Hotel is located 5 km northwest of Legian/Kuta, away from the crowd and perfectly situated to enjoy your holiday in quietness and tranquility, though only a 10 minutes taxi-ride away from the shopping places of this pulsing tourist center. Petitenget, with its important temple next to the sea and just minutes from Seminyak, has developed into the favorite restaurant and entertainment area for the expatriate community here with many of Bali's best-known restaurants in the vicinity.

Our garden and rooftop rooms have all cozy and comfortable elevated lounging areas and terraces for private breakfast or dining. While your eyes can rest, enjoying the lush surrounding gardens, tastefully selected furniture will make you feel at home. All guestrooms have spacious bathrooms with shower and/or bath, mini bar and refrigerator, in-room safe, coffee/tea maker, color TV set with satellite channels, telephone with IDD-facilities and individually controlled A/C.
