Our animals reside in hundreds of quality built eco-habitats and are well cared by our friendly staff of 170 who work as part of our extended zoo family. Bali Zoo offers a number of unique and one-of-a kind experiences during your visit with us. From our beautifully landscaped and shaded garden paths that lead you through our park to our various 'hands on' animal encounter sessions where you are allowed to feed, pet and take photos with number of our zoo inhabitants to our assorted family activities such as our Elephant Back Safari, Treewalk adventure and Village Trekking.

Opening Hours
The zoo is open daily from 09.00 AM to 06.00 PM, except for Nyepi Day.
On Wednesday & Saturday open from 09.00 AM to 09.30 PM, You can come to the zoo at any time during an opening hours until a hour before closing time.

Exotic Bird Show
Enter our expansive aviary eco-habitat for an amazing and interactive bird show featuring Bali Zoo's fine, feathered friends. You will see wreathed hornbills, rhinoceros hornbills, falcons, eagles and more catching food in mid-air and also have an opportunity for a photo and feeding session with our tame birds. Daily shows at 11am and 3pm in the aviary area.

Animal Encounters
Get up close and personal for a petting and photo session with our assortment of exotic fauna. See what the scales on a fresh water crocodile and python or the fur of a binturong and tiger cub feel like then have your photo taken with these tame creatures. Our Bali Zoo staff will gladly take a photo for you or assist in taking one with your own camera. Daily shows at 1pm and 4pm in the Elephant View Restaurant

Dining at The Zoo

Our main restaurant is situated strategically in the middle of the zoo with an open-air view of our elephant trail and lush gardens with its tropical birds.Lunch options include Asian a la carte or all you can eat buffet choices at great prices. Animal encounter sessions at 1pm and 4pm. Open daily from 9am till 6pm and buffet served from 12pm till 2:30pm

Okavango Restaurant
Located near the entrance to our zoo, our Okavango Restaurant offersan exclusive vantage point from where to view our African lion enclosure while you dine. Named after Botswana's Okavango Delta, this two-story restaurant's rustic interior and furniture are made up of reclaimed wood from an old Pinisi schooner as well ironwood and lychee tree timber. We feature a western influenced menu as well as gelato and tasty cakes. Open daily from 9am till 5pm

Feed The Animals
Watch our African lions, tigers and crocodiles come alive as you feed them from afar for this exclusive and interactive Bali opportunity.
Or treat the entire family to a unique chance to hand feed our tame wallabies, deer, gibbons sun bears, orangutan, camels, pelicans and more.

Petting Zoo
The whole family will enjoy this opportunity to visit our special zoo pen where kids can pet our domesticated baby rabbits and Muntjak Muntiacus, Sitatunga and Timor deer. Interact with these gentle animals while learning about their behavior.

Visit our various souvenir shops in the zoo or at our Elephant View Restaurant and take home a keepsake from your memorable Bali Zoo visit. Whether a t-shirt, photo frame, mugs or cuddly stuffed animal, we are sure you'll find just the right present or memento.

Photos
We have photographers ready to take your candid photos. Check at zoo's exit/entrance for your personal printed photo and take it home for an affordable price.

For your safety and the safety of the zoo animals during the photo session: please stay quite, no smoking allowed, parent please always supervise your children and please follow our keepers' instruction.
